I wish I could credit my awesome gardening skills for the frenzied off-its-meds situation in my little vegetable patch, but it is more likely due to a soggy June.
Ana, my neighbor and best friend, is a much better plant-maker-grower than I. I occasionally have to fake my way through conversations like this:
Ana: I thought I should tell you. Your squash has a mildew. Me: A mildew? It does? Ana: Yes, mine does too. Me: Well, shit. What do we do? Ana: I spritzed them both with a baking soda and water solution. Should be fine. Me: So, no more mildew? Ana: No more mildew.
