This dress that Ana is wearing was conceived of last October, meant as a Christmas gift, “finished” by April, hemmed in late June. When I went next door so we could drive to Dinner Club to get her, my heart swelled to see her wearing it. This is the first complete garment I’ve ever made. Usually, I stick to costumes, alterations and hemming. It’s flawed, for sure, but I’m still proud of it.
